Experimenting with keeping the blacks, whites, and greys more separate, with less blending. The landscape style comes from Jules de Balincourt, scorpion looks like early Albert Oehlen. This picture doesn’t do much for me but the separated tones thing is worth working on I think.

The canvas had an old unfinished painting on it, dried. It can still be seen around the edges where I masking taped to make this new painting. I find the overlaid edge interesting. Might be worth experimenting with in future.

Weird colour in this photo is caused by daylight bulb on left, tungsten on right.
